“The relationship and connection between therapist and client is one of the most important aspects of the counselling process.”
Counselling and Program delivery
Rachael Hartley (she/her)
I completed my undergraduate Bachelor of Psychology degree in 2000 and have since worked in areas with a strong focus on trauma and the impact of this on family, relationships and health. I have trained in Yoga and Meditation and incorporate this where appropriate, particularly for clients with trauma histories that continue to affect their lives.
I have recently completed my Masters in counselling.
I practice what I share; I like to meditate daily with a regular Yin Yoga practice to help keep my life balanced.
My therapeutic approach is eclectic, but strongly driven by evidence based trauma informed practice. I use emotionally oriented and compassion based therapeutic approaches, mindfulness based therapy, attachment and somatically oriented approaches, and cognitive behavioural therapy, amongst others.
